Bautista’s last Rotten score before his 10-film Fresh streak was My Spy, and now that streak has ended with its sequel. Similar to the first film, My Spy: The Eternal City‘s reviews point out how the movies try to plug Bautista into the familiar formula of pairing a charismatic action star with a precocious child to mediocre results. As evident by his collaborations with auteur directors like Villeneuve and Gunn, Bautista’s talents are better utilized in other ways.
